Overview
This blanket set from Quility is a well designed, well made product, with a 7-layer blanket filled with glass micro beads, and a seperate, washable cover. It’s breathable, and is available in a wide range of colors and sizes.
What We Like
The soft cozy fabric is strokably soft, adding to the luxurious feel of this weighted blanket. However, if you wish, it’s equally comfortable without the extra warmth of the outer cover. The weighting is just right, with the filling molding around your body, and the ingenious inner straps keep the lining firmly attached to the outer cover, eliminating the uneven distribution that can occur with duvets.
What Needs Improving
Whilst washing is simple – just throw it in the machine, it would be easier if it could be tumble dried.
2) YnM Weighted Blanket
Overview
Using multiple layers, with an inner filling of glass beads, this weighted blanket from YnM has two cover options – a soft, welcoming minky fabric, or a chic bamboo based fabric for a cooler hug, both efficiently breathable. There are also numerous size, weights and color choices available, all with tough high quality stitching to eliminate leaking.
What We Like
We liked the warmth offered by this blanket, and found the choice of outer fabrics to be a good idea. Due to the weight options, it’s easy to get the perfect one for you, and most found that we had a better quality of sleep whilst using this blanket.
Washing was simply a matter of popping it in the machine, and it can be tumble dried.
What Needs Improving
When turning over, initially the glass bead filling sounded a little loud, however, we soon got used to it and took no notice, so this isn’t a deal breaker.

3) Hypnoser Weighted Blanket
Overview
With neat, high quality double stitching, the innovative use of sand for the filling, and a range of color, size and weight options, Hypnoser’s weighted blanket has earned its place in our selection. The outer shell is breathable, and the sand filling means that any movement is silent.
What We Like
The use of small stitched pockets eliminates any risk of sand clumping in the corners of the blanket, keeping it even distributed throughout. For those prone to feeling the cold, the use of sand really does increase the temperature, and for that reason, this blanket, we feel, would be perfect for sufferers of arthritis or back pain. The option of a separate cover makes washing easy; however, the inner blanket is machine washable on a gentle setting.
What Needs Improving
The ability to tumble dry this blanket would be a welcome feature.
